MAN CANNOT LIVE BY WORK ALONE
When not advocating buyers’ or seller’s real estate interests, you’ll find Rick hiking with his wife Holly (who was a hiking guide at Canyon Ranch for several years), playing tennis on his men’s 4.5 team, volunteering for local social service programs, taking his Australian Shepherd – Shay – to the dog park or singing at his Temple as a cantorial soloist and choir member.
Of course, being food lovers from Chicago, Rick and Holly are always exploring Tucson’s wonderful restaurant choices from a million cantinas to nouveau and haute cuisine – we’ve got them all, and Rick is happy to share his recommendations.
GETTING FROM THERE TO HERE
I knew I would love the desert when I first visited Tucson during Christmas vacation as a 10 year old boy from Chicago. As a student at the University of Arizona in 1968 and later as an owner of a real estate company contemplating Tucson land purchases in the early 1980’s, this “love affair” continued as I became thoroughly hooked by Tucson’s wonderful combination of natural beauty, unbeatable climate, and cultural depth and diversity. Finally, in 1993, I became a full fledged Tucsonan, moving here with my wife Holly to continue a real estate career; although, changing my focus and becoming exclusively a homesite and land specialist.
Little did I know that my boyhood fascination with giant saguaros, barrells, ocotillos, washes and river beds, rolling rocky terrain, thick mesquite groves and the rugged mountains that ring the valley would literally become my office and the basis for a fulfilling and prosperous second career. One in which I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with so many wonderful people from all around the country.
